Brooklyn & Staten Island Republican Parties United in Supporting Guardian Angels Founder for Mayor

Last night, the Brooklyn GOP endorsed Curtis Sliwa for Mayor of New York City. This nod of support comes days after the Staten Island Republican Party on the other side of The Narrows also endorsed the popular talk radio host and founder of the Guardian Angels.

The support of the GOP in Kings County, the city’s largest borough, and Staten Island, long considered the strongest Republican organization in the city, is a major coup for Sliwa’s candidacy.

Sliwa said, “I am honored to have the support of the Republican Party organizations in Brooklyn and Staten Island. Without getting crime under control again our city will never fully recover from the pandemic. This will be my top priority. I look forward to working with Republican leaders across the five boroughs to save our city.”

Sliwa specifically noted that New Yorkers must feel safe again on the subway, a turf he knows well after patrolling them for 40 years as the founder and leader of the Guardian Angels.

The primary election for both Republicans and Democrats will be held on Tuesday, June 22.
