BROOKLYN, New York:  Mayoral Candidate Curtis Sliwa and the Guardian Angels will be holding a press conference at 11 AM today at the crime scene in East Flatbush.

At least one of the men busted Thursday for keeping 20 dogs in “deplorable” conditions at a Brooklyn apartment was released and returned to the home later that night — where he attacked his landlord for “reporting animal abuse to the proper authorities” according to police and mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa.

While the dog owners were arrested, because of no bail laws they were soon released and returned to the scene with others to viciously attack their landlords and complainants, Kenisha Gilbert, and her husband. While Kenisha was released from the hospital, her husband still remains at Brookdale.

Gilbert needed stitches for a wound on the side of her head, and her lip appeared swollen early Friday.  The perpetrators were arrested a second time.
